Sharjah Girl Guides Learn to Focus on Thought, Word and Action

Among October activities organized by the Sharjah Girl Guides (SGG) was an interesting workshop called ‘Unleash Your Powers’, which focused on improving social skills and build capacities of some of the youngest members of society.

 

Sharjah Girl Guides Brownies (7-11 years) saw how their power of thinking can guide their words and action. In a workshop, the brownies learned to observe their thoughts before translating and articulating them into words. The crucial trait of being mindful about what you say as it leads to actions and builds habits was taught to young eager minds. Brownies built on the strength of their personality and learned how to plan for perseverance. As such strengths will not only determine their growth but will foster aspiring leadership skills and instill mindfulness. The girls also learned to compute their thinking and question their motives in thought and value. Sharjah Girl Guides not only inspired a new definition of power but instilled enthusiasm in girls’ hearts. The brownies enjoyed the session where they build their skills and inculcated positive habits.
