Shaikha Al Shamsi: “Eight stations will test your brain and uncover your intelligence score.”
Sharjah Girl Guides (SGG) will be pushing the boundaries of the UAE’s intellectual and creative capacities at their upcoming annual event, themed ‘Brain Dare’, November 16-17 to be hosted at the SGG premises in Sharjah.
Even though focused on children and youth, the guiding organization has extended an invitation to men, women of all age groups and nationalities to participate in a series of activities that will enable them to understand their minds and discover new aspects about their intelligence.
The two-day event will see new-age technologies being used to conduct several neurological competitions and activities including a unique ‘brainwave race’ where participants will race cars and control their vehicle’s speed through their brain waves.
For those who prefer to engage in artistic pursuits, they can experience the darkroom museum, street musician section, virtual reality painting, and the LED photo-booth. All these activations will also be based on the powers of the mind. Additionally, concerts, LED drummers, and a plethora of games will challenge participants.
“Intelligence has several interpretations, one of the most important of which represent growing children’s and adults ability to innovate and stimulate their sensory and motor skills. Intelligence is like a knife that needs to be sharpened often by posing several challenges before it. This year, SGG’s annual event has been designed to show everyone what’s their minds are capable of; there are eight stations that will test your brain and uncover your intelligence score,” remarked Shaikha Al Shamsi, manager of SGG.
Keeping the spirit of community at heart, there will also be a social ball pit where strangers, adults, and kids, will be questioned to initiate conversations and friendships.
